It's time to turn this mother around.

I can’t fight this feeling anymore…

I’ve been slacking off by ignoring my workout mojo and focusing on DeclutterFest 2011 at home instead. However, I’ve got to jumpstart the HR tonight. Yoga + swimming? Swim + lift? Treadmill mileage? Possibilities are fun.

Intention

This week is about doing the things I say I’m going to do.

- Start thank you cards

- Get to bed every night, rather than trying to get one more thing done and falling asleep on the couch

- Set up a family task list

- Hold call with the parents on Tuesday

Pretty mundane stuff, but organization is like anything else…a step-by-step process.

Borrowed wisdom

More at Frugal Dad

I have discovered the hard way over the years that success usually comes to those that win the daily battles.

Creative Energy

I’m bursting with it, but need the time to develop the outlets.

Just 24 hours in a day…that’s the quandry.

Yoga

There was a time when I felt like my heart needed to be pounding for a workout to count. I took time from my desk today to join a yoga class at the office, and it was such a great way to challenge my body and my mind. I actually did find myself sweating and working, and I loved it.

Related, today is day 4 of this transformation project. Here are some of the accompishments so far.

  • Planning and preparing meals with my family
  • Allowing myself to be nourished by the most complete love I’ve ever experienced
  • Submitting that a day can be a success even if it doesn’t go exactly to my plan
  • Making health and wellbeing a priority with exercise and nutrition

There’s so much opportunity for growth, and this is just the beginning. My smile right now comes from my happy heart.

What Matters

I’m in a state of transformation right now, and every day I feel more and more like running into life with arms and mind wide open.  This is my record of things that are, things that will be, beauty, love, sweetness, setbacks, melancholy, release, freedom.

To everything
There is a season
And a time for every purpose under heaven
